The United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a wonderful zero down program designed to boost home sales in rural areas. The Rural Development Guaranteed Housing Loan Program has helped hundreds of thousands of homeowners who did not have the down payment necessary to purchase a home. It is designed to help borrowers with low to moderate income levels obtain home ownership in certain rural areas.
USDA loan is geographic specific and the home must be located within the designated rural areas. Here’s the house lookup to see if the home is located within an eligible area. After arriving at the site and accepting the terms, click on the Single family housing guaranteed on the top left of the page.
The loan is also subject to income limitations and household size. The income limitation depends on the County where the home is located. Currently, for King County and 1-4 family members, it is $125,950. Pierce County is $85,800, and Kitsap County, $95,000. For all other counties, please reach out to us and we'll provide the details.
